Art lovers welcome return of SoNo Arts Festival

“I had been visiting the Arts Fest since I was in middle school, therefore it was a little bittersweet to say goodbye to that which was an yearly tradition for me and my family,” said 27-year-old and lifelong Norwalk resident, Jeremie Blais. Despite an inauspicious beginning on a morning blindsided by alternating bouts of humidity and torrential downpours, the recently discovered SoNo Arts Fest rebounded by the day since Washington and North Main streets bustled with activity. The festival featured only below 100 artists from all around the nation, who offered attendees a wide array of art from ceramics, paintings, art, and photography to handcrafted furniture, wearable art and art meals. In addition to art, the revamped festival also featured live music during the weekend, in addition to informational booths from local organizations like the Wilton Quakers, Norwalk Community College’s Archaeology Club along with the Humanists and Freethinkers of Fairfield County.
