ABC News punishes serial journalistic malpractitioner with Vacation  vacation

ABC News’ Brian Ross’s bogus report about Trump/Russia collusion made Dems giddy with enthusiasm whilst causing the stock market to take a temporary dip. Nevertheless, that was away from Ross’s first fact neglect, and for some reason his bosses didn’t seem to have a problem with his false reporting prior to realizing his negligence may put a dent in their stock portfolios. As a result, Ross was frozen:

ABC News announced Saturday it’s suspended investigative reporter Brian Ross for a few weeks without pay after Ross was forced to fix a bombshell on-air report on Michael Flynn.

“We profoundly regret and apologize to the critical error we left yesterday. The reporting conveyed by Brian Ross through the distinctive report had not been fully vetted during our editorial criteria process,” ABC said in a statement. “As a result of our continuing reporting over the upcoming several hours ultimately we determined that the information was wrong and we corrected the error on air and on the internet.”

“It’s vital we get the story right and retain the confidence we have built with our audience — these are our core principles,” the announcement added. “We fell much short of this”

Yep! But, keep in mind those four weeks of suspension are unpaid, so finally, in the soul of these holidays, ABC finds it into their hearts to at least allow Ross to freelancer at CNN till his suspension in the alphabet net ends. In the very least Ross will have some opportunity to see “Dan Rather & Brian Williams’ Accuracy in Reporting for Dummies” so he can return in January a rehabilitated journalist.
