Elementary School Teacher Makes Autistic Student Cry When She Snatches His Microphone During Thanksgiving Play See How Parents Reacted!

How is this woman allowed to teach children? Educators are responsible for molding young minds, not inhibiting them.

A teacher at Nutter Fort Primary School recently proved she’s much more of a garbage human than an educator when she rudely yanked the microphone away before an autistic student could say “gobble gobble” in the Thanksgiving play.

The young boy, named Caleb, was playing the turkey in the production, so it’s not like the line would’ve been distracting or upsetting. It actually would have been a really cute way to close the show.

But, the West Virginia teacher horrified the young boy — and his parents — when she snatched the mic just as the child was leaning in for his big moment.

The little boy was so devastated that he yelled “Oh no!” on stage before bursting into tears. And his parents, Kent Squires and Amanda Riddle caught the disgusting snub and the following devastation all on camera.

Outraged, they took to Facebook to spread the word about the horrible excuse for a teacher, who Amanda tentatively identified as “Mrs. Linsey.”

In his plea to Autism Speaks, Kent shared the video, writing:

“This is my little boy in his Thanksgiving play. He is the last kid and has level one high functioning autism. He has the biggest heart and [is] always happy. Now watch it and see what a teacher of kids does to him. He has [come] home from school and said he gets to say gobble gobble cause he was playing the Turkey . I am reaching out to see if something can be done.”

Amanda reached out to Clarksburg’s Sky 106.5 radio station, sharing:

“I was all excited to go to Caleb’s play everyone did a good job. I left in tears because one teacher Mrs. Linsey I think her name is grabbed the microphone from Caleb and in a mean way. My son is a little different I know this but his heart is so big and he loves everyone. What does it matter if he wanted to say gobble gobble he was the turkey after all. I’m sick of kids that are not considered ‘normal’ [being] treated the way they are. Caleb I love you and you were a hell of a . Caleb has level one high functioning autism but that doesn’t get in his way of being a happy little 6year old boy.”

You can see the woman’s despicable actions (below):

So horrible. It’s especially upsetting knowing her actions seemed to show her students that it’s acceptable to treat children with special needs this way, when it’s definitely NOT okay.

What do YOU think of the teacher’s actions??
