SYDNEY: her story work was finished by Belgian Mertens in the Hobart Worldwide by defeating third Monica 61 to clinch her WTA name on Sunday.
The 21-year old, rated 127th on the planet, was broken-in her first support sport by her more capable Romanian challenger but rallied to get to be the next qualifier to get the Hobart name after Mona Barthel (2012) and Garbine Muguruza (2014).
Mertens had handed up the opportunity by leftover in Hobart to be eligible for the Foreign Open singles attract and was compensated towards the event when she wrapped-up the name in 74 units on her devotion.
